Thin and wiry, almost gangly in appearance, Rodolphus had a weak constitution and was sick a great deal in childhood. That probably influenced his decision to become a healer (and he got a LOT of practice on himself). He is startlingly strong and deceptively bright, despite his appearance and demeanor. His blonde hair is shaved at the crown of his head in a monastic tonsure, and his white surcoat is emblazoned with the red cross .
