Isondir will carry a lit torch, as well as Timoth (we'll give him half of the 12 from upstairs if he didn't bring any, as well as that tinderbox*).

The marching order is in the Marching Order thread in the OOC section.**

As for my in-game action, Naevius will spend the required time to map the chamber in detail. He'll suggest that someone prod those sacks in the corner with a sword perhaps.

*I am making this decision on behalf of the party, in the interest of speedy play. If anyone objects to this in the loot thread, then we can simply take the stuff away from the poor hobbit!

**Let us know if you need alternate marching orders for single file, triple file, etc. The one I posted was two-men wide.

I think someone taking the lead as an Old School Caller/Leader is a good strategy.

More importantly, though, there are no NPCs with you; I never mentioned either Timoth or Arnelia meeting up with the group. Does this alter that marching order?

As for marching order, I asked for it here because I want it here. Telling me to go to another thread will not work when things get busy. Remember: I did not create that thread, so I am taking it to be your semi-private conversation that I will only peek in on to rectify errors.

For purposes of this room, I mostly need to know where people are going, etc. See below.

I need a position and action from each of you:

Are you standing by the stairs?
Walking around? Which way are you walking?
Going to the center of the room to better gauge distance?
Will anyone check either of the 2 piles in the room? If so, then who?

Gyff offers to check the sacks in the southeast corner. He'll give them a few good pokes with his longsword.

As for marching order, Gyff volunteers to be in the front.

Marching Order:
The Front Line Fighting-men
Gyff
Dax
The Elf and the Magic-user
Naevius (Mapper)
Isondir (Torch-bearer)
The Rear Guard
Rodolphus (Torch-bearer)
Bodin
(It's ten feet wide, so two men across seems reasonable.)

To answer your question Naevius will be wandering around the room, the better to map it. He'll pause wherever Isondir pauses, though, as the elf is carrying the necessary light source.

Fumbling with piles of garbage is something that Naevius will leave to the fighting men.

Nice link in your sig, Random. I guess typing a few more characters in a signature line was just TOO hard for you to do.

By the way, this game is so over.

Guys, thanks a lot. Some of you might have been fun to play with, but I have now encountered every horrible Gamer stereotype that drives me nuts:

Gamers who want all sorts of special gear to fit some weird character stereotype they crafted in their heads that doesn't match the materials at hand.

Gamers who need to take control of the game when they don't like how it's being run.

Gamers who refuse to type a short character summary in a signature EVEN WHEN THEY WERE THE ONE who "suggested" everyone do it in the first place.

Gamers who don't really like roleplaying but who can't be bothered to play along even a bit or let a DM know they're bored.

Oh, and the ever-loving disappearing gamer.

I'd say it's been nice, but it hasn't.

You, random, have been an absolute joy since the beginning, though:

1- You demanded I change the posting lapse time. Next time, try ASKING instead of demanding. It's called politeness; explore it.

2- You took control of creating a plethora of forum threads and then EXPECTED me to actually follow them. They were your fucking threads. If I had wanted a thread on that topic, I would have created it.

3- You refused to follow simple instructions. Instead you wanted to "link" to some shit that I don't want a fucking link to (like the marching order thread you created with all sorts of bad data) and your character sheet (which side-stepped the reason I needed the info in your sig at all). Just FOLLOW THE FREAKING INSTRUCTIONS. It's not that hard. You know it's not.

4- You make assumptions...

5- Because you can't (or don't want to) read.

In short, random, kiss something random.

You're just a gamer-bully.

The forum will be deleted tomorrow, so make nasty comments about me or each other at will.
